教學重點
各年級均有完善的教學內容和補充教材,循序漸進達成整體性、連貫性的教學系統。

傳統注音班
正體字教學,以注音符號為發音的輔助工具。 使用教材: 美洲華語一至九冊

互動拼音班
正體字教學,以漢語拼音為發音輔助工具。 使用教材: 學華語向前走、Hello華語

文化課程

學生
書法、棋奕、美勞、壁報設計、歌唱、民族舞蹈、扯鈴、功夫、課業輔導等。

成人
成人中文、瑜珈,中國結,手工藝品等。

寓教於樂競賽活動
演講,團體朗誦,中文歌唱,認成語,認字詞,情境對話。

中文認證與鑑定
兒測,華測,中文SAT模擬考。

教學延伸
在校內,文協每學年期末都會舉辦成果展。 讓每個學生都有機會向家長和校外的來賓展 現學習成果。 我們也經常遴選學生參加 各類校際比賽,包括文化常識比賽、演講比賽、 多媒體簡報比賽 、壁報比賽和扯鈴比賽等,以延 伸教學成果並拓展學生的經驗。

Traditional/Zhuyin Program
A rigorous program designed for children as young as 4 years old. Reading is taught using the Zhuyin Phonics System and writing using Mei Zhou Chinese. Students completing Level 9 Curriculum will graduate with a diploma.

Interactive/Pinyin Program
A program catered to children in non-Chinese speaking families as young as 5 years old. Through interactive conversations, students learn to speak and write in Chinese with the help of Pinyin. Students completing Level 9 Curriculum will graduate with a diploma.

Cultural Classes
Students in level one and above
Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Chess, Art & Craft, Chinese Poster Design, Chinese Singing, Chinese Folk Dance, Chinese Yo-Yo, Martial Arts Kung Fu, Homework Help.

Adults Classes
Chinese Language, Yoga, Hand Crafts.

Fun Competitions
To make learning fun, students can also apply their knowledge at various school contests. Students are rewarded with prizes for participating in the Dictionary, Speech, Group Recital, Singing, Character Recognition and Conversation Contests.

Certifications
Students have the option to assess their Chinese skills at an international level by taking the Children’s Chinese Competency Certification (CCCC) starting in level 3 or Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) starting in level 5. Test prep and mock tests are also offered to students taking the Chinese SAT.

Beyond Academic Performance
At the end of the school year, during CCALI’s open house and open class day, students will showcase what they have learned to parents and guests. As a member of the Association of Chinese Schools, our students are able to participate in regional competitions where they have received awards in Chinese culture, speech, multi-media, poster desgin and Chinese Yo-Yo contests.
